learn how to protect and promote your wellbeing even when things get tough

We have all suffered a degree of trauma over that last few years. But that doesn't mean we will all become ill from it. If you would like to know more about how to develop the skills which will enable you to experience Post Traumatic Growth, instead of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) then get in touch.

We can all continue to grow, and live meaningful lives, no matter how hard the circumstances.

Hi, I'm Mary Anne and I am a fully qualified and certified life coach, positive psychology practitioner and teacher of mindfulness, with a Masters Degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching.

Over 20 years ago, like so many others, I found myself living a life that just wasn't right for me. My mental and physical health were suffering and I felt trapped.

Life has its ups and downs and, yes, sometimes it's a struggle. But the most important thing I have learnt is that how we think can be either a help, or a hinderance, to staying well, finding happiness and achieving our goals. You don't have to stay stuck in a life that is not bringing you the happiness and fulfilment you deserve.

Why do I feel confident in saying this? Because by learning to understand myself better, building and maintaining strong relationships and connecting with my community and with nature, I have dramatically changed my life for the better. It is a strong desire to help others to realise that ability to think well and believe in themselves that has inspired me to  become a coach. If I can do it, so can you! It is never too late, and never too soon to start.

Why Chasing Happiness Doesn't Work

To have a happy life, doesn't mean being happy all the time. To quote a leading expert in the field of happiness studies:
"the only people who do not experience painful emotions are psychopaths or dead" (Tal Ben-Shahar).

We cannot always control our surroundings. We will all experience bad things at times in our lives. I believe the key to a happy and fulfilled life is learning the skills we need to be able to face hardship and grow stronger as a result of it. To develop 'antifragility'.

If you would like to find out more about building antifragility in your own life, you can subscribe below to stay informed about any upcoming events or courses I will be running.
